Wow, it is hard to believe that term 1 has been and gone. The children have settled back into school life very well and the new preps have done an amazing job at starting off their school life in such a positive way. I hope all the children and their families had a fantastic break and Easter bunny showed up with some goodies.

Term 2 at Parkwood Green will be an exciting term. We should see the new $3 million building complete (if all goes to plan) and I can’t wait to invite the community to explore the new facility.

Along with the new building a number of other projects will commence. School Council will start to develop the new play area outside rooms 21-22, just near the portable toilets. This area will feature a brand new playground and maybe a sand pit will also appear for the children.

We will also start to see a number of new and current families touring the school as they start to investigate schools for their 2011 preppies. It will be fantastic to welcome them into our school, and we can’t wait to meet each and every one of them.

Term 2 at Parkwood Green will once again be an exciting place to be, and I can’t wait to get started.

  • Exciting Times!

Enrolments for 2010 have commenced in earnest. Once again parents have been very busy enrolling their children for next year, and it has been great to meet the new families for the first time.

Construction of the new synthetic sports oval is about to commence, and the scope of the project is getting bigger and better all of the time. The size of the sports field, the quality of the surface and the number of running track lanes have all increased since the original plans were drafted, and the finished result will be second to none.

Our submission for a new multi-million dollar library and learning centre seems be attracting lots of support - with big ticks so far from everyone who has a role in approving the project. We are quietly confident ....

    Go Parkwood Green !!!
