Mentone Girls' Grammar School has an impressive range of facilities and resources, including a variety of purpose-built learning centres. The Master Plan for campus-wide building improvements integrates educational philosophy and practice with the physical environment and resources.

* The award-winning Cobbalanna Senior College; a pre-tertiary learning centre for students in Years 11 and 12.

Our K-12 curriculum is characterised by a range of academic and co-curricular activities which are aimed at providing students with innovative, engaging learning pathways that encourage each student to reach her potential.

Designed specifically to meet the learning needs of girls and underpinned by our unique WAVES priorities of Wellbeing, Achievement, Values, Enterprise and Success, our curriculum is constantly reviewed and evolving.

In our Junior School from Kinder to Year 6, students are engaged in the International Baccalaureate's Primary Years Program (PYP). This program focuses on the total growth of the child, touching hearts as well as minds and encompassing social, physical, emotional and cultural needs in addition to academic welfare.

Each student at our School is an individual whose needs are monitored closely. For highly able learners, we provide opportunities for enrichment and acceleration through our SAIL (Supporting Advanced and Independent Learners) program from Years 3 to 10. For students in need of additional support, our Performance Enhancement teachers provide advice to teachers, and, if required, supplementary tuition to students.

Life in our Senior School is rich, varied and exciting. In tandem with our strong academic curriculum, our students progress through the Senior School on a supported journey of self-discovery. Our aim is to develop confident, competent, ethical, articulate and well-presented young women of the 21st Century.

Our extensive sports program offers inter-School competition through Girls Sport Victoria. The School currently holds the title of Australian National Schoolaerobics Champions.

Active exchange programs with Japan, France and Germany support our Languages Program that begins in Prep. Chinese and Greek are also offered through onsite Language schools. Students also participate in debating, dance, drama, music, visual arts, Duke of Edinburgh, leadership training, and formal careers program.

Mentone Girls' Grammar School offers a range of scholarships on an annual basis:

Academic and General Excellence Scholarships

In March each Year, we offer Academic (internal and external candidates) and General Excellence (external candidates only) Scholarships for entry into Years 5 to 11 of the following year. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of a Scholarship examination and interview.

Performing Arts Scholarships

In March each year, Performing Arts Scholarships (internal and external candidates) are also available for entry into Years 5 to 10 of the following year. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of a Scholarship examination and audition.

VCE Scholarships

In August each year, we also offer VCE WAVES Entrance Scholarships for girls entering Years 10 and 11 of the following year. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of a Scholarship examination and interview.

Primary Scholarships

In August each year, a limited number of SAIL (Supporting Advanced and Independent Learning) Scholarships are offered to students of high intellectual ability entering Years 3-5 of the following year. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of a Scholarship examination and interview.
