Coburn Primary School has approximately 440 pupils with approximately 25 full time teachers. We offer specialist teachers in the area of Information Technology, Library, L.O.T.E. (Language Other Than English), Art, Performing Arts and Physical Education.

Every student has the opportunity to know each teacher, and all teachers feel it is their responsibility to help every child.

We have a strong feeling of community which we value highly and we want you to know that you are an important part of this community.

The children help in building and maintaining this feeling by their behaviour, work, and by telling their parents about the many activities they are involved in during the day.

Our newsletter contains articles and information about the activities and programs at our school, upcoming events and other important information and is distributed to the youngest child in each family every Thursday afternoon.

Our After School Program operates each school day from 3.15 to 6.30pm in the Performing Arts/Gymnasium. Children are provided with a wide range of activities and a healthy afternoon tea is offered. Casual or permanent care is available.

The school's facilities include:-

- An art/craft room

- A gymnasium where we hold assemblies, have physical education lessons and community group use.

- An elevated music room which can be used as a stage.

- A canteen which provides a special service to our students and staff.

- Modern play equipment.

If you would like to enrol your child at Coburn Primary School you may do so by visiting or phoning the administration office.

You must provide a copy of your child's Birth Certificate / Passport and Immunisation Certificate as required by the Department of Education when enrolling your child.

For families arriving from overseas, school entry is determined by the Visa Subclass Number on your child's Passport. Students unable to enrol directly into the school can enrol via the International Students Unit. Please contact them by phone on 03 9651 3700,
